Jay Wilmouth is a Senior Associate assisting the Finance and Accounting team with his logical mindset. Jay graduated from Christopher Newport University in four years with both his BSBA and Master of Financial Analysis. Throughout college, he took on self-led consulting roles with a range of organizations including Canon, a logistics company in Texas, and a family-run B&B. These roles gave him hands-on experience in streamlining processes, bookkeeping, and client communication. 

Jay has a passion for solving problems and helping others while learning along the way, and it’s what drew him to each of those opportunities. Working with such a variety of people and companies is also what led him to Sandbox. He was looking for a place that partners with small businesses and startups, where he could keep showing up to find something new. That same variety carries into his current work, where he supports a range of nonprofit clients and audit engagements as well.

Doing something outdoors – whether that is hanging out in the James river, going for a hike or climbing, or playing a round of disc golf.
